There's an upgrade script to update from 1.2 (not 1.0) to 2.0 .. should
be included in the 2.0 source.  You'll want/need to make a copy of your
database run that script against it, fixing anything that breaks, till
you figure out exactly what's needed.  I think there may have been
minor database changes between 1.0 and 1.2 (eg. passwd went from 32
to 34 char and maybe index changes?) that you'll have to either change
the upgrade script to work with, or change your database to what the
upgrade script expects.
