yes, it does. my problem was that my db doesn't accept socket connections, and I didn't have time to find out why: when I tried to change the connection, I realized that postfix was ignoring the parameter. AFAIK, hosts = localhost connects through a socket, while hosts = 127.0.0.1 connects via TCP to the local db. Alessandro
