Try mailbox2dbmail?

It might choke on some malformed emails, but should work fine.  Or you could
move them from the local mailbox to dbmail-imap manually in mozilla thunderbird.
Or, if you have a UW-IMAP server handy, you could import the mboxes into it, 
then use imapsync.  I did something similar recently to migrate a courier-imap
setup to dbmail.
