Are those messages flagged for deletion in the database. Check the
deleted_flag fields.

There are some tools posted on the dbmail site. The dbmailadmin package
appears to be dead as far as php is concerned. Dunno about the asp version.
weDBmail is alive I hear. I think Jesse was working on a general dbmail
management tool as part of that project.
