On the Sieve front, I started up a project called libSieve over at
SourceForge for the purpose of creating a sieve library with an easy API
that could be integrated into DBMail. The address is libsieve.sf.net. At
this time, libSieve is stable and functional, although it still needs one
or two extensions to get it fully useful for DBMail (specifically, the
lex/yacc parser does not have a custom yyin(), and so the script must come
from a file. this is certainly not good for a database-oriented system!)

I've heard that the IC&S folks are looking to get a Sieve system in place,
and I suppose they'll be using my library for the processing, but they'd
also have to implement the 'timsieved' protocol, for uploading and
activating scripts. It is most recently described by the now-expired draft
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-martin-managesieve-04.txt
