Maybe Eelco can add the text of my messages on the subject, updated to
include the PostgreSQL information posted by others, as a "Postfix
readme" in the hopefully-soon-to-arrive RC4, and also in the CVS.
They cover just about all of the postfix+dbmail integration, except
for how to compile in SQL support to Postfix.

I don't think you're dumb - even with the init scripts posted here a
few months ago, I have been unable to get dbmail-pop3d and
dbmail-imapd to start at boot. They are set to be one of the last
things started, so the network is operational when they start
(important because the MySQL server is not running on localhost), but
they always fail. If I log in and execute the scripts, they start just
fine. This is with Mandrake 8.0 and 8.1 servers...
