I think Eelco and Roel are indeed doing a wonderful job with this product,
but also, I must admit that Chris is right. RC3 is getting very old
(together with the website). Maybe someone on the list should volunteer
maintaining the website for DBmail and post a weekly or monthly build on it
(or in some controlled way).

In that way we might already avoid new people using the RC3 each time, only
to find them trapped with old bugs and errors.... what do you think?

I have only one (minor) complaint - dbmail rc3 is over six months old.
Six months of even casual development is a lot.  Maybe it's time to start
thinking about rc4?  A feature freeze (if not already in place) would
probably be a good idea.

Of course, that's just my opinion.  I could be wrong. ;)
