Is there a clear overview of the changes in the table structure? Would it be possible to have a general way to convert all the older formats to the latest? I really would dislike people using some old CVS when the dbmail 1.0 will be released :-( There have been numerous changes to the pop3d daemon-code reducing a lot of unnecessary segfaults, 99% cpu-usage issues and unreachable servers so an upgrade would seem favorable even now the 1.0 isn't there yet. On the other hand, don't hear much complaining about these issues by the old-cvs users - if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? ;-) As far as i can remember now the only updates have been additions of new fields; so it shouldn't be too much of a problem converting older table structures into newer ones. Maybe some 'interactive' (scary word ;-) tool could help by this - anyone interested in building something? This tool could add missing indexes as well to speed up the whole system.
