I was just getting ready to type a similar email.

We froze Dbmail on the Feb CVS version of Dbmail. We attempted to
upgrade but ran into a number of problems. Also, the table structure had
changed which caused some problems with existing mail accounts.

IMAP is slow for us but only the administrators are using IMAP, the bulk
of our users are using POP3.

Personally, we froze dbmail prior to rc3 for our installations,
because there were some changes made that caused problems with our
installation. Those changes addressed problems we did not have, so
there was no reason for us to update.

Later changes indicate that we SHOULD update, but it's been a very low
priority.
