Hi Butch,
Weird that it doesn't work.. are the rights set ok? Is the dbmail user
allowed to execute the files?
I've set it up here and it works fine.
You could also do it by calling a script:
cat /usr/local/spamfilter
#!/bin/bash
/usr/bin/spamassassin -x -F0 -P | /usr/local/sbin/dbmail-smtp -u $1
From the aliases table.
Best regards,
Eelco

Why not use amavisd-new. It is going to be a lot faster than
reinjecting the
email twice. It is very easy to set up and works great.
Here are two links to start you off.
http://www.ijs.si/software/amavisd/
http://www.geocities.com/scottlhenderson/spamfilter.html
I will be using amavisd, but in the following manner...
ALL OUTGOING MAIL: filtered through amavis (mcafee)
INCOMING MAIL: spam/virus filters if a subscriber wants it.
My intent is to (eventually) have mail sent to a perl script that first
scans for viruii, then (if not infected) sent to spamassassin, then
reinjected to dbmail. I realize that this causes a delay in mail
delivery, but it is not a very long delay, and will allow me to set
this
up as a subscription service. I suppose I could do the same thing on
the front end (similar to what you have done at the link you provided),
but I would like to see if I can make it work from dbmail.
