For more infos, you could also search on Github Pull Requests from
features you want to talk about. Very often, you have some useful infos
on how it works and why it is develop the way it is.
I use all that to writing actually (with help of french community) an
article in french about these new features. This article will be (next
week) translated in english to be publish on darktable.org. It's the
traditional article by Mathieu Moy publish each year. Mathieu doesn't
have time this year so I've seen with him to do his work (with french
community help). We have beginning in french this time just because I'm
french and I find help of french who don't speak english (except two
french).
Probably you don't speak french but if yes, this article is on draft
actually (near to be finished) on linuxfr.org
