Not OP, but chiming in,

I have also been bitten by the focus-follows-mouse model in Darktable. Very
tricky to use any of the text inputs. I've been reluctant to complain
because I use a pretty esoteric WM (StumpWM) which doesn't interact well
with some of Darktables widgets (like the left-click arc "fine" adjustment).

I also noticed that a couple of versions ago Darktable stopped recognizing
the scroll wheel on one of my input devices (trackpoint on keyboard works,
scroll wheel on mouse doesn't). Seems to be a global GTK issue (gedit has
the same problem). Non-GTK applications work fine.
