Mmmh, does it work well with a wheel mouse? For me it's difficult to double-click without turning the wheel.
Anyhow, please see my other comment from later this evening. I implemented a shift-scroll option so one can change the feathering size from within anywhere in the shape. The lower limit has gone. Please have a look at it in PR 1354.
