I think I now have it figured out.I had another try at editing my generated presets.json file for the K-1, in accordance with what exiftool tells me is in the exif file, and running 'darktable --noiseprofiles ./presets-K1.json -d control | grep noiseprofile' does indeed give me access to the profiles. So that part is more or less sorted at this end, but it does suggest that the profiling script 'gen-profile' isn't working correctly with the K-1 sample images, i.e. it is collecting the wrong maker and model strings.
Attached is the noiseprofile file which works (presets-K1.json).I need to test these K-1 presets for a while to be sure that they are OK, and possibly do them again. My initial testing of only a couple images was a bit disappointing.
