Exactly. The cameras are rebranded and are thus not the same. We internally do alias them to each other for some things so for example once one of them gets a noise profile they all get it. But we still need samples for all of them if nothing else to test that this aliasing keeps on working in the future. Those NOs are all correct. > One other camera I have access to, the Canon Powershot A720IS is > listed as "no" on the Darktable site but is available on > rawsamples.ch. Anything to be done there? This is a somewhat weird > case since RAW output requires CHDK. That's a limitation in the script that generates the list. Since that's a CHDK camera that outputs a file with no metadata exiv2 doesn't know what it is. Since I'm using exiv2 to generate the list the match doesn't occur. We now have a rawspeed based utility to identify camera files so have a straightforward way to fix that. > (I realize these are not very interesting cameras at this point!) Given the pace of progress in technology most cameras on the list are no longer interesting but the files live forever. That's why we need these sample files, so we can make sure they still work even when the cameras are long forgotten.
