Obviously most if not all public schools impose "dress codes" upon their wards. Hair seems something of a different matter. Very few people can successfully be ordered to the bathroom to turn their hairstyle inside out so as not to offend young impressionable minds. Steve Furlong's example was 15-20 years old. I imagine there were a great number of school polices about hair length on boys 20 years ago. Presumably one complaint by John Running-Bear changed all those policies in today's PC climate. But I've never heard of any "hair-color" policies...much less recent ones. "Hair may be red, light red, or orange, but it may not be pink." "Green hair is not permitted, unless you are a blond member of the swim team and you cannot afford a swim cap." "The following RGB values are not permitted..." I mean, really. Still curious if anyone can document such a policy.
