FIRST TRANCHE OF SOURCE CODE;
PREVIEWS LINUX VERSION OF FREEDOM,

Montreal -- July 24, 2000 -- Zero-Knowledge(R) Systems,
the leading developer of privacy solutions for consumers
and companies, will release its first source code today.
Mike Shaver, Zero-Knowledge's Chief Software
Officer, last week previewed the Linux client of the
company's award-winning privacy software,
Freedom(R) at the Ottawa Linux Symposium.
In this first source release, Zero-Knowledge will
release the source code of the Freedom Linux
kernel interface. Source code will be available
for download from the Zero-Knowledge website at
http://opensource.zeroknowledge.com/. This
interface contains the code that allows Freedom
to intercept all incoming and outgoing data from
a computer and can be useful for implementing
secure networking solutions for Linux. In
accordance with the company's stated
commitment to open source, additional source code to
the Freedom client and server will be made available
in the coming months.

Linux client and embark on the first step toward
releasing the source code," said Shaver, who
previously headed developer relations and open
source evangelism for mozilla.org, the group
organizing development of the open source
Mozilla browser. "Source availability is an
important part of any credible privacy solution,
and by releasing source code Zero-Knowledge
further demonstrates that Freedom is the best
solution available."
Freedom is the first commercial product that
empowers Internet users to fully control their
identities and personal information on the Internet.
Freedom transparently encrypts and reroutes
Internet traffic, preventing the accidental release
of information that could compromise personal
