so nixos isn't perfect but it has that inspiring demonstrating of great effort succeeded but like if all your software has built from source deterministically and all the binaries hashed and checked you can actually plug a device into your cpu and your ram and check that the content of loaded pages and behavior matches what has been checksummed elsewhere live -- like, not easily or compeltely, but it's _much_ closer > > > > > makes me wonder what i am missing out that's happened since nixos happened
