I have updated syslog-ng for Cygwin 1.7 to the latest stable release 3.0.1. The 3.x series is a major new upstream release which contains a lot of improvements and bug fixes over the 2.x series.
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on the http://cygwin.com/ web page. This downloads setup.exe to your system.
