When executing "mkdir test" within bash, the new directory called "test" gets created on the windows server, but the permissions are different then that of its parent folder. Is there a setting or flag that can be set so that when executing a mkdir in bash it treats it like mkdir in dos? Just looking to ensure that new files and directories created always inherit the permissions of the parent folder. The /etc/passwd and /etc/group files contain all appropriate entries.
