That does what I want, albeit not with the formatting options I'll. Could you explain how and why that works? I like that the status messages remain in the title bar, too. Now I just need to figure out how to do the same thing on xterm -- keep the caption as the last line but status messages in the title bar. Any help you could offer on that would be great as well.
