Not everybody is human.
My daily script parsers certainly aren't.
I think the 'df' output in periodic should remain in "full
resolution", so to speak. Or maybe in both formats, if some
people really have trouble dealing with the larger numbers.
The periodic mailings are sometimes good for going-back and
checking the status of things after <SomeEvent> happened,
when you had not configured any special monitoring program
beforehand. In some sense I don't particularly mind the
*format* of the numbers, but on this context I mind that you
lose the specific values in favor of some rough estimate.
If some person doesn't like the long string of digits, they
can always write something to reformat the output from
previous emails. But if you *want* the extra detail, there
is no amount of reformatting which is going to bring back
the detail which is lost from 'df -h'.
