… on a HP laptop 17 with Iris (Pro) graphics laptop with an external USB hd0 ->
sd0 after bootloader in kern, root on dk7, swap on dk8, efi on dk6. Have to
“inject" at loader prompt 'root “hd0b”' and then ‘boot' for finding the kern on
disk. Asks again for root disk post-kern. /sbin/init is recognignised without
any fault.

Ported from an original machmini 8.1 (T2). No logs, either a sudden shutdown
without any dump when 'startx' or 'X - configure - verbose' hangs up.

Built world and installed source release, latest modular-xorg from sources and
X11_TYPE in /etcf/mk.conf. Tried without mk.conf - same result.

Driver should be xf86-video-intel but integrated in world, kernel GENERIC.

AXEN0 works for cheap china chip with ipv6 for two months now, but warning
sometimes.

'X -configure' brings uhub0 and xhci0 to an error 23 and the en0 disables @
wsfb driver in log (but I think this is independent from the wsfb driver), then
sudden reboot. Once I got a zero-byte xorg.conf.new in /root. Tried to open it,
hung up at starting nano.

Tried various *-session in .xinitrc. Xorg starts, screen goes black, no
keyboard or mouse input possible, so no kernel log. dmesg doesn’t find
anything.

Any ideas?
