Building on VMS currently requires having the lib/curl_config.h.in
and the configure because the tools to generate them are not yet
working on VMS and will not be in the near future.
Is there anyway to pull a git branch with those files in them so that
the VMS developers do not have to pull down the entire daily
snapshot?
These files are generated so making them available to download via git would
mean checking them in to git, which is unnecessary and undesirable. The daily
snapshots are designed to mimic a released version and include those generated
files, so that's really the package for your situation. It's only 2.5 MiB long
as well. Why is this not desirable from your viewpoint?
It just makes it much simpler to do a git pull before doing a build each
day while updating the port.
A VMS developer currently needs pull down and unpack a daily tarball to
test against, and also maintain a git checkout of master to generate the
patches against.
Just trying to save a few steps.
