Works on OpenBSD 5.5, NetBSD 6.1.4, Solaris 11. Although I note I have
to jump through hoops even to build with -lgss on Solaris.

The archives and my own mailboxes are missing some messages — my message
from last night (to which this is a reply), and also Daniel your alleged
message of 2014-07-15 21:17 to which I only ever saw Michael's reply.
(And no, I have no idea what time zone that's supposed to be because
Michael's mailer neglected to specify. Probably +0200)
