Hi Steve (and anyone else who might be reading this),
I figured it out. Just for kicks, I took off the bold for the link
and low and behold, the black link text (non hover) actually got
lighter/less dense! It was working all along. It seems that IE7's
"bold" black text is just baaarrrllly bold. So I guess that's just
the way it is. Anyway, that's what I found out. Thanks to all your help.
