| IE6.0 may be a box model problem. Try feeding ie/6:
| *  html  .webdesign1 {  width: 460px;   }
| Compliant browsers (and ie7) include horizontal 
| padding/margin in width bearing divisions.
| IE6.0 adds them to the width. Consequently, the width of the division
| (500px)  /may/ need to be reduced by  40px  in  ie/6 to 
| accommodate the horizontal padding/margin.

Thanks, David, that fixed the width problem. But does IE6 not support the
hover attribute for blocks that are not links?
