Well, I never took Opera 8 (pre 9) seriously, but I could not see the
problem in my Opera 8.50 on win2K-pro. Looks and works the same as in
Opera 9.
Page didn't look functional on latest reload in Firefox on win2K-pro.

...and note that I use 'minimum font size = 14px' in all browsers that
have that option.

All that is defined in pixels on that page. That is: most of what's
written there is below comfortable size-range - for me.

...shows what it looks like when I 'ignored font size' and sized it
within my range, and that's not even at 'normal' size in that browser.
You can test that browser-option at your end at any time, and decide if
the result matters or not.
