Subject: [css-d] Dreamweaver 8: is it's code truly standards-compliant?

We are getting ready to upgrade to Dreamweaver 8 here and I am wondering
if anyone has had time to work with it much yet?

Does the program do CSS layout by default, or does it mix tables and
css together, or can you choose?

Dreamweaver is a great tool but if you rely on its visual Design View, it is capable of writing code that might be good or it might be not so good. We use Dreamweaver as a code editor, primarily. The one great aspect of DW8, from our perspective, is that CSS can be toggled off in Design View do it becomes a good medium for typing in content. But you still need to be watching the code because pressing enter at the wrong spot can cause things to happen that are not too good :-)
