I do see what you mean on this. In the last example I sent, I added a
background: yellow to the H1...the color fills the entire element and
the right floated div just 'sits on top' of the H1 level in the
document. You could add a border to the floated element that matches the
color of the background to get the look of the background yellow
wrapping around the floated div. Other than that, I don't have another
idea on how to accomplish what I think you're going for...

Anyone else?
