This is correct float behavior.  The float doesn't affect the width of
following blocks, just the inline text.

You can't have your cake and eat it too with the border.  Either you limit
the width of the following block (using right margin) or live with the
border all the way to the right.  What you CAN do, however, is use a left
and bottom border on your floated block to simulate the boxpunch border.
