you should most probably explore the possibility of using: net.ipv4.ip_nonlocal_bind=1 in /etc/sysctl.conf, which allows of binding services to ports/ip addresses that are not yet allocated on the server. this should mitigate the issue
remember to do: sudo sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.conf after adding the line to the sysctl.conf file. -- Pozdraviam Wojtek On Monday, 13 January 2014 at 15:09, Calvin wrote: > Yeah, I do not see how the two would be connected. > > If strictportbind is set in the command line, and the process respawns due to > crash/restart/signal whatever, it shouldn't put another server on the next > available port. > > This sounds more like an issue with strictportbind. > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: louloubizou (mailto:[email protected]) > > To: [email protected] > > (mailto:[email protected]) > > Sent: Monday, January 13, 2014 9:00 AM > > Subject: Re: [Csgo_servers] Server restarts on another port, whenever > > internet connection is not active (linux). > > > > My CPU is the following and i got the issue ... > > > > processor : 3 > > vendor_id : GenuineIntel > > cpu family : 6 > > model : 58 > > model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1225 V2 @ 3.20GHz > > stepping : 9 > > microcode : 0x12 > > cpu MHz : 3506.125 > > cache size : 8192 KB > > physical id : 0 > > siblings : 4 > > core id : 3 > > cpu cores : 4 > > apicid : 6 > > initial apicid : 6 > > fpu : yes > > fpu_exception : yes > > cpuid level : 13 > > wp : yes > > flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca > > cmov pat pse36 clflush dts acpi mmx fxsr sse sse2 ss ht tm pbe syscall nx > > rdtscp lm constant_tsc arch_perfmon pebs bts rep_good nopl xtopology > > nonstop_tsc aperfmperf eagerfpu pni pclmulqdq dtes64 monitor ds_cpl vmx smx > > est tm2 ssse3 cx16 xtpr pdcm pcid sse4_1 sse4_2 x2apic popcnt > > tsc_deadline_timer aes xsave avx f16c rdrand lahf_lm ida arat xsaveopt pln > > pts dtherm tpr_shadow vnmi flexpriority ept vpid fsgsbase smep erms > > bogomips : 6385.16 > > clflush size : 64 > > cache_alignment : 64 > > address sizes : 36 bits physical, 48 bits virtual > > power management: > > > > 2014/1/13 Elysium Gamers League <[email protected] (mailto:[email protected])> > > > Hi Guys, > > > > > > This is something which was addressed with Valve and posted by us a while > > > back. > > > > > > Unfortunately despite the effort and the amount of data supplied to them > > > the only answer was that the issue was lower priority and to utilise > > > better CPUs. > > > > > > It seems there’s a possible threading issue, Linux and Windows.
