Crowbar can be installed in 2 ways, and modifying the partition table depends
on which way you install:

a) Boot the ISO on the soon to be admin node

b) Server the ISO as a PXE image.

To modify the partitioning you basically have to update the seed file that the
debian installer uses. For a) it's [1], for b) it's [2]. In both cases, the
section in the seed file that affects the partitioning looks something like [3].

All that said and done..... What's the problem you're experiencing, that leads
you to want to modify the partitioning scheme on the admin node? Do you expect
to have to do that for deployed nodes as well (cause that's a different story
;).

thanks for your responses, I have still been unsuccessful at installing Crowbar
however I was able to get base Ubuntu 12.04-server installed without a problem.

I think I need to understand the Crowbar install process a little more in
depth, I have built the iso from all versions of Crowbar with no success.
I have been unsuccessful at finding documentation on the Crowbar iso and
modifying it, for example if I want to modify the default hard drive partition
schema, if anyone can point me in the direction of those docs that would be
awesome, meanwhile I am going to start digging through the build_crowbar.sh
script.

Thanks again

You might want to talk to your Dell representative about that.

I have been unsuccessful at finding this driver anywhere including Dells

Any ideas ?
