Sure, why not. The implementation will be different though, as the ls internals are fairly different for the BSDs. (And they'd have to use a short option flag, since they don't have a separate --sort option.) But the concept is simple enough if someone from BSD-land would like it. Sometimes the hard part is just figuring out that something simple might be useful. Carl
