I have a PC running Vista Home Premium. Worked fine for almost 2 years. About 2 months ago, while using Firefox or Internet Explorer, the browser will just freeze up after an hour or so. If I switch browsers, I can sometimes get the other one to work for awhile until that freezes up.
I cannot get either browser to work again until I restart the PC. Email will continue to work fine while internet is frozen. I thought it was a router issue perhaps but just swapped in a new one and the problem remains. I've tried disabling firewall, anti-virus, without success. It does not seem to happen from visits to any particular sites. I'm at a loss. It's almost as if there is some "buffer" somewhere and once that's full, I'm done.
