Terms like "X-day night" tend to refer to the night that begins on X-day. "Saturday night" might be fitting, in the 1a sense, but 3a really is the normal meaning in that context. I tried to clarify because my skim of the original post had me thinking "Sunday night" until I paused and realized it made no sense. If I didn't realize the correction, I'd likely sleep in Sunday morning and then look at the exact tournament time. I assume I'm not the only one that's lazy like that :)
