I'll dig into the scoring algorithms used by GoGui; my guess is that it counted
handicap stones differently than Mogo.
Regarding nakade: I had a friend with a shodan ranking play a 9x9 game, no
handicap, against Mogo, which Mogo lost due to a nakade in the corner. Mogo
apparently believed it had a live group, and all of its moves were based on the
assumption that it was therefore ahead by at least 0.5 points. As soon as we
filled in the liberties and explicitly killed the group, Mogo resigned. I, an
AGA 8 kyu, spotted the nakade with ease; it was a bulky five arrangement; when
the vital point is played, only one eye can be made.
I don't know how hard it is to fix this bug, but if Mogo can avoid nakade, it
will surely win many more games.
