If you're not competing in the competition, you're a non-player and would pay only $75 for the registration for the whole event. At one point, there was a reduced rate posted in the FAQ for a single day. I'll see if I can find the old info in my e-mail tonight.
I'm pretty sure registration includes admission to most activities. I think private lessons and reviews cost money. Here's what I currently see on the FAQ: For adults over 22 the registration fee is $350, but if you register before June 1st you will get a $100 discount. For young adults 19-22 the fee is $275 with a discount of $75 before June 1st. For youth 18 and under the fee is $150 with a $50 discount before June 1st. Adult non-players are $75 and youth non-players are $50. Don Dailey wrote: Did we determine that you had to pay a fee, or is this free and open to anyone. I'm talking about the case where you are coming as an observer, not a player. Joshua Shriver wrote: I was thinking about it too. I'm only 7 hours away by car, and less by Amtrak. But I'm only a beginner and wanted to play to play, not for a tournament per say. The $375 price tag is way over my budget *yikes!* and that's just the registration fee. The US Go Congress begins in less than two weeks. I have two questions: 1. If you plan to attend, which days will you be there? 2. Will you be competing? (Not with a bot) 3. Which days are most convenient for a gathering of developers? As for myself, I'm not competing or attending beyond whatever day we collectively decide for developers to meet. The July 28th and 29th are most convenient for me. The least convenient for me would be the August 5th.
