It happens to me, too. I can't even really define the source of the problem as it happens randomly when I click on something in the panel bar, may it be the sound indicator applet, or clicking on the menu of firefox, or any other application I'm using. Also, it happens that my wireless randomly dies, too -- I have to restart the wireless...to get it back on.
