Synced with the latest `dev` at `69eb336df1` (merge commit; no force push). GitHub now reports the PR as mergeable (26 ahead, 0 behind). The only conflicts were `docs/en|zh/introduction/concepts/incompatible-changes.md`: `dev` moved the "Engine Behavior Changes" section under the `dev` heading, so those two pages are taken as-is from `dev` and this PR's `restoreMode` restore-guard entry is re-added at the top of that section, ahead of the file-based IMap WAL note. Each page now differs from `dev` only by that entry (+18 lines en, +15 lines zh). The PR still touches the same 55 files.
