This issue was reviewed as part of the JIRA-migrated backlog triage. Findings: checked the state of all PRs linked to this task: #11398 and #11399 were explicit 'DO NOT MERGE' test PRs closed unmerged in June 2024, and their reworks #11804 (MOR Hive integration tests in bundle validation) and #12284 (bootstrap Hive integration tests) were both closed unmerged on 2025-07-19; JIRA HUDI-7916 is still In Progress. Master does have unit-level tests of the new file group reader with Hive (TestHiveHoodieReaderContext and TestHoodieFileGroupReaderBasedRecordReader in hudi-hadoop-mr, and TestHoodieFileGroupReaderOnHive in hudi-java-client), but the bundle-validation Hive integration tests this ticket tracks were never checked in. The task therefore remains incomplete: unit coverage exists, end-to-end Hive bundle-validation coverage is pending a revived PR.
