Sorry about the very late reply. --- your interpretation is correct. Nonetheless, read @jmalkin response carefully. Your question: "what sketch size I need to support 100B distinct values." Makes no sense. All of the distinct counting sketches of any size support practically any number of distinct values into the many trillions.
