If going to have a PR for the C* branch, the accord one would be fantastic...
its hard to make sure everything is resolved right now.
In testing accord.messages.Apply#waitAndReduce swallows the
InterruptedException, causing Instance.shutdown to hang. This should re-add
the interrupt to the thread
