Hi,

We're planning to use to Libcal by Springshare to manage our public and private
event bookings as well as using the public calendar of events for our patrons.
Although initial reactions from staff during its use have been generally
positive, the primary criticism (and understandably frustrating) from our
programs staff upon initial testing and use is that there is no interface to
browse a particular week or month's bookings of all space bookings (includes
private bookings made through the 'spaces' module and public events on our
event calendar) on a single page.

To my surprise, this isn't offered by Libcal. Instead, there's the ability to
view space bookings through the booking explorer by a rolling list of today,
the next 15, 30, or 365 days. (a screenshot of this is available at
https://i.imgur.com/bY60bQU.png
(Programming Staff dislikes this because it does not show the day of the week,
only the numerical month & date) and displays a limited quantity of events per
page (it will then paginate at the bottom of the page.). They strongly
preferred to see something as a typical calendar.

I shared this in the code4lib slack channel and a couple participants shared
similar frustration with this. I ask the larger community if this has been an
issue for your staff and if so, how have
you managed it.

I have shared my concerns with Springshare support who recommended to use ICS
feeds to sync to another calendar option like google.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Regards,
