Well, NSStream is really just a thin glue layer over CFStream, which is part of CFNetwork. (They’re toll-free bridged.) In my experience: if you have a networking question, the guy you want to talk to is Quinn “The Eskimo”, Apple DTS engineer extraordinaire. He’s pretty active on macnetworkprog but I’ve never seen him here.
