Most things will try to draw at integral pixel boundaries, because otherwise 
they look fuzzy and weird.

Probably not, no.

If you turn on HiDPI in Xcode, you can probably set your window to 0.5pt 
increments. Read the Lion release notes on HiDPI for an explanation of why. And 
just remember that the OS pays zero attention to the physical DPI of the 
monitor.
