If you use iOS’s notification service, you’re not fully P2P anymore, because it 
requires that you run a server that sends the notifications to Apple’s servers, 
which then send them over the cell network to your device. (Or if you don’t 
want to set up your own server to do this, you can sign up with a service like 
Urban Airship that has their own.)
