Use NSViewAnimation. 'NSViewAnimationFadeOutEffect' will hide the view at the 
end of the animation.

Note that Snow Leopard has a bug in 'NSViewAnimationFadeInEffect'. You need to 
unhide the view manually just before starting the animation.
