For a trivial app it might be. For anything else, it would not be. GC and RC are fundamentally different memory management models, and converting an existing code base is never easy. You should not attempt it before you understand how GC and RC differs, before you've read up on how GC is supported in ObjC & Cocoa, etc. That said, GC works quite well for Cocoa apps.
