We have a Vulcan 7 mounted at the helm of our 30-2. It’s worked well for us both for cruising and racing. The screen is visible even in direct sunlight and the touch screen is responsive even in wet conditions, at least with open fingered gloves.
My only complaints are with the lack of interaction with our older Zeus Touch 7 mounted on the bulkhead. That may not apply to you. I knew it would not share charts, but thought it would share waypoints at least.
